What would you do with a cool £7m? Buy a luxury yacht? A penthouse suite? Maybe invest in your favourite football team? Or would you buy Diego Maradona’s 1986 World Cup kit?
The shirt went up for auction this week and became the most expensive sports memorabilia item ever, selling for £7.1m.
The shirt is of course best remembered for the Hand of God goal and the incredible goal where he dribbled through the England team, inspiring Argentina to go on to lift the trophy.
So today we want to talk about some of the items we might pay for; special items to us as football fans, and we’d love to hear from you too.
