In the past decade or two, football players and athletes in general have gone from eating anything you want to a highly-specialised, highly-detailed and professional meal plans. It's not exaggeration to say that fuelling your body properly can be the edge you need to win a close match. Or to ensure you recovery properly after a match, avoiding injury and being in peak condition for training and future matches.

For all that, it's still hard to fully grasp what to eat and when. Should you consume carbs or not? What is the best recovery food? How long before a match should you eat?
